Controller & monthly close
Greywood CPA provides controller-level accounting for manufacturers and distributors that have outgrown a bookkeeper but don't need a full-time controller yet. We close the books monthly, keep cost accounting current, and deliver the reports owners and lenders actually use. We work at a fixed monthly fee.
Most growing manufacturers have the same gap: the books are done, but nobody owns margin by product, inventory accuracy or the borrowing base. That's the work we take on. For audit clients, this work is done by a separate team so the audit stays independent.

| Report | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Gross margin by product and customer | Where you make and lose money |
| Inventory turns and aging | Cash tied up in stock |
| Scrap, rework and variances | Production efficiency |
| 13-week cash forecast | Whether you can fund payroll, purchases and growth |
| Budget vs. actual | Whether the plan is on track |
We prepare borrowing base certificates, covenant calculations and interim statements on your lender's schedule, so reporting is never the reason a renewal stalls.
We work in the system you have, from QuickBooks with inventory add-ons to NetSuite, Sage or Acumatica, and help you decide when it's time to move to a manufacturing ERP.
We review your books, close process and reports.
Monthly scope and fee.
Reconciliations, cost accounting and report templates.
Statements and KPIs on a fixed day each month.
Usually when owners can't get reliable margin by product, inventory doesn't reconcile, the close takes weeks, or the lender asks for borrowing base and covenant reporting the bookkeeper can't produce.
Once systems and reconciliations are set up, most clients receive statements on a fixed day early in the following month.
Yes. We work in QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, Acumatica and other common systems.
Independence rules limit this. For audit clients, a separate team does the accounting work and we confirm up front what we can provide.
A fixed monthly fee based on transaction volume, entities, locations and the reports you need, plus a fixed fee for any initial clean-up.
