Corporate income tax

Florida taxes C corporations, and LLCs taxed as corporations, at 5.5% after a $50,000 exemption. Partnerships, S corporations and sole proprietors generally owe no Florida income tax.

Tax is 5.5% of Florida net income above $50,000. The return is due the 1st day of the 5th month after year-end (the 1st day of the 4th month for June 30 year-ends). Corporations owing more than $2,500 must make estimated payments.

Next due: May 3, 2027  ·  Rule: 1st day of the 5th month after your year-end

S corporations generally don't owe Florida tax. A return is required only if the corporation pays federal tax at the entity level, such as built-in gains tax.
